Recycling that Fuels the Energy Transition

Our Purpose

A Tremendous Global Opportunity.

With 24 billion litres of UMO generated annually and 17 billion litres burnt or dumped, there exists a tremendous opportunity to solve the world’s UMO problem and recycle this valuable resource. UMO is a waste product generated by the global lubricants market and the global lubricants market is forecasted to continue to grow. The US Department of Energy has issued a number of recommendations and acknowledged the opportunity that exists to recycle UMO.

Our small modular recycling plants enable the solution to be brought to the problem, addressing a number of the common barriers that exist to recycling UMO today. Our premium in-demand product is sold into a large market: achieving our 21/6 goal would only account for 0.2% of the global marine fuel market.

A Proven Patented Process with a Validated Market

We have taken a technology that has been used in adjacent market for over a century and perfected it for the processing of UMO, with 1.6 million litres of UMO processed through our Pilot Plant. We have sold the product to the largest shipping container company in the world who have blended it seamlessly with their existing fuels and want more. We are ready to deploy this technology first in North America and then globally. Come join our journey.

Our Mission

Unlocking opportunities

At its roots, EnerPure is founded on the belief that UMO recycling should be accessible to all communities. Today, EnerPure’s mission has evolved to encompass an even more expansive vision, with respect to the unprecedented potential and opportunities for progress their ground-breaking work has unlocked within the cleantech sector.

Ultimately, EnerPure’s mission is to reach as many industries, municipalities and consumers as possible, so society can best leverage their technology as the scalable, impactful and profitable sustainable energy solution that our generation needs, now.

The scalable, impactful and sustainable energy solution that our generation needs, now.

Bernard George Habicht (1916 – 2011)

Our Legacy

An innovative idea with a rich history.

Bernard George Habicht (1916 – 2011) changed the way farmers harvest their crops when he invented the original rotary combine. Decades later, his intuitions regarding the recycling of used motor oil came to life as an initial prototype, actualized when his grandson and founder of EnerPure, Todd Habicht, recognized the technology’s global potential.
